Rome: your questions
How do I get from Venice to Rome?
The easiest way is the Frecciarossa train from Venezia Santa Lucia to Roma Termini, about 4 hours, or a flight of about 1 hour to Fiumicino. We arrange a driver at the station or airport and the private transfer to your hotel.
How long is the drive from Fiumicino airport to central Rome?
About 45 minutes by car with a private driver, traffic permitting. From Ciampino, the airport most used for private flights, the centre is about 40 minutes away.
Can I visit the Vatican with a private guide?
Yes. We arrange private visits to the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel and St Peter's with licensed guides, choosing the least crowded times. Dates should be booked ahead, especially in spring.
What is the best time to visit Rome?
April to June and September to October. July and August are very hot, so it is best to plan visits early in the morning and in the evening.
Can you arrange a driver in Rome for a full day?
Yes. A private driver at your disposal takes you between the Vatican, the centre and Trastevere, and on day trips such as Tivoli or the Castelli Romani, on your own schedule.
