Verona, Valpolicella & Lake Garda

Verona is about an hour and a half by car from Venice, and one of the easiest trips beyond the lagoon to make with us. Here the chauffeur is ours: Mercedes from the VLS fleet and VLS drivers, from Venice to Verona, through the Valpolicella hills and along the shore of Lake Garda. We arrange the rest with partners we know: opera tickets at the Arena, private tastings in Amarone cellars, lakeside hotels and villas, private guides in town.

Getting there

Most guests leave from Venice, from Marco Polo Airport, the station or straight from the hotel, and reach Verona or Lake Garda by car with a VLS chauffeur, door to door. We also meet guests at Verona Villafranca Airport and Verona Porta Nuova station, and plan full days with the same chauffeur between town, wineries and lake.

Verona, Valpolicella and Lake Garda: your questions

How far is Verona from Venice?

About 125 km, roughly an hour and a half by car from Venice Marco Polo Airport, traffic excluded. With our chauffeur service the journey is door to door, from your hotel or Venice airport to the centre of Verona.

Can I book a private Valpolicella tour with Amarone tasting?

Yes. We arrange private Valpolicella tours with private Amarone tastings at wineries we select, with a VLS chauffeur for the whole day, departing from Verona, Lake Garda or Venice.

How do I get to Lake Garda from Venice?

By car it is about 150 km and an hour and three quarters to the Verona shore of the lake. We arrange the private transfer with a VLS chauffeur to your hotel in Sirmione, Bardolino, Garda or Malcesine.

When is the opera season at the Verona Arena?

The Arena opera season takes place in summer, in the open air, usually between June and September. We book the seats and arrange the car with chauffeur for the evening, including the return to Venice or Lake Garda after the performance.

Can I visit Verona as a day trip from Venice?

Yes. With about an hour and a half on the road each way, one day allows for central Verona with a private guide and, if you like, a Valpolicella tasting in the afternoon, with the same chauffeur from departure to return.

Do you own the wineries and hotels?

No. The cars and chauffeurs are ours; wineries, hotels, villas, guides and helicopters are partners we select. We plan the day or the stay and remain your single point of contact.
