Venice fills up at Easter: Italians and visitors from abroad arrive, the Patriarch celebrates in St Mark's Basilica, and on Easter Monday the city heads out to the islands. Here is what to know for Easter 2027 and what we arrange for you, from the airport to a day by boat on the lagoon.

- Only day visitors pay it, on the days set by the City. Hotel guests in the municipality are exempt. The City publishes the 2027 calendar.

- Mild and changeable. In late March days can still be cool, especially in the evening and on the water.

Tips from people who work in Venice every day
- Book early. For Easter weekend the best hotels and tables go weeks in advance.
- Check the access fee. If anyone in your group is coming just for the day, check the City's 2027 calendar. Hotel guests in the municipality are exempt.
- Bring an extra layer. In late March the sun is warm by day, but it gets cool on the water and in the evening.
- Travel by water. On Easter Monday the vaporetti to the islands are usually full: with a private boat you leave when you like.

What is there to do on Easter Monday in Venice?
Do what Venetians do: go out on the lagoon. With our boat and captain you can spend the day between Murano, Burano and Torcello, with lunch on the islands that we can book on request, subject to availability.
